-Ryerstad, Tad: AKA "Nite-Wing." Racist. Out of control vigilante. Was abandoned as a child when his parents left him behind the wheels of a city bus on Christmas Eve (m:48). Got name from "tadpole," and "Ryerstad," a local beer brand (m: 48). His upbringing is mostly contradicted in #51, where it was revealed that he had a father (Randall) and Mother, who both went to jail, forcing him into foster homes (fb: 51). Lived in condemned Melville building. Then moved to an apartment off Scrimshaw Park at 1805 Baleen St. #305 (47). Becomes the "hero" Nite-Wing (19), and is shot several times on his first outing (21). Once he recovers, he kills the gang who shot him (30-31). Trying to help the police by taking out two criminals, he was arrested and turned over to Redhorn, who enlisted Tad's help in ridding some criminals(#35-36). Tad killed several of Noone's men (41-42) as well as Noone himself (42). Redhorn unsuccessfully tried to have him killed which led to Nightwing attempting to instruct Tad on being a vigilante (43). Killed Blaine (Blane), unaware that he was an undercover FBI agent (m: 46). Turned into the police by Nightwing (47), and was then turned over to the Feds (48).
